School Parent Council
About SPC
Every parent or guardian is automatically a member of our School Parent Council (SPC). The SPC at Alighieri is very active and welcomes participation of any kind and size from our Alighieri community! We help staff out with events as well as plan many family engagement and fundraising events such as our annual BOOling Party, Savers Drive, and Bee Hive + Open Air Market. Last year we raised $14,000 for our students!

OUR SCHOOL
K0, K1 + K2
CHILDREN'S HOUSE
Our K0, K1, and K2 students learn together in the Children's House. Students enter K0 at age 3, K1 at age 4, and finish K2 (traditional "Kindergarten Year") at age 5.
SCHOOL HOUSE
GRADES 1 - 6
Our students in grades 1 through 6 make up the School House. In the School House, grades 1 and 2 learn together, as do grades 3 and 4, and grades 5 and 6. Grades 1-4 make up "Lower Elementary" while 5-6 are "Upper Elementary".
Our Campus
We are located in the East Boston neighborhood, a community that has traditionally been home to many waves of new immigrants in the city. It has a rich maritime history due to its unique location on the Boston harbor. It is vibrant, diverse, and tight-knit.
We have six classrooms, a music/science room, a multi-purpose room, and a new library. We have an outdoor space with a play structure, several gardening spaces, and room for children to exercise and have fun. We believe it is important for children to have outdoor time every day, understand their relationship to our environment, and get plenty of movement!
